With a gigantic map and a ton of different resources to collect, it’s hard to see the end of this famous Zelda Tears of the Kingdom, but that’s kind of what we like about it, right? If you’re interested in the wishes of the wise men, you’re in the right place anyway.
What are the Wise Men’s Vows for?
If you’ve ever stumbled upon a Wise Vow, you might be wondering what the hell it’s for. In total, there are 20 to find in Hyrule Skies only. When you get 4 of them, you can go to a Goddess Statue (the same one you use to exchange your Glimmers of Benevolence for a heart or stamina) to give them to her. You can then choose to upgrade one of your powers of Sage : This increases the damage of their attacks when in combat. It is only possible to do this once per Oath with Babil, Yunobo, Riju and Sidon.
Where to find the 20 wishes of the wise men?
First of all, we advise you to prepare yourself well for what is to come. While some of the sages’ wishes can be obtained simply by opening a chest or completing a puzzle, others can only be found by fighting terrible bosses. Thanks to our list of recipes, prepare dishes that give a lot of hearts, attack or defense boosts or even a remedy that restores your stamina. Also stock up on arrows and bomb flowers! Next step: remember to unlock all Hyrule Observation Towers since this allows you to reveal the sky map. To be able to fly in the sky easily, try to have at least two full stamina gauges.
And one last tip: go get some useful outfits like the Barbarian which boosts damage, and increase your battery.
The wishes below are numbered in the order they appear in our video.
Ordinn and Akkala airspace
Let’s start with the islands at the top right of the map. You’ll find three wishes in the surrounding area.
- Wish 1 : Ordinn Sky Archipelago, just above the Goron Hot Springs – You can try to reach it from the Ordinn Ravine Tower. You will simply find a small golem and the chest to open.
- Wish 2 : Southern Ordinn Sky Archipelago – You can reach it easily from the Gata Unali Shrine. Otherwise, start from the Ordinn Ravine Tower. Go straight to the lowest island and go through the floor below. Use Infiltration to go back up and arrive in front of the chest.
- Wish 3 : South Akkala Sky Archipelago – You can reach it easily from the Ramol Mountain Tower. Spot a planet that looks like the Death Star (Star Wars) and go into the hole. Use Grip on the ball inside to make the planet move as you wish. Your goal is to go below and thus make the opening available both at the top and at the bottom. The chest is at the bottom.
Lanelle Airspace
Let’s continue with the sky islands located to the west of the map.
- Wish 4 : Island of Gushing Waters – You can reach it easily from the Water Temple. Go down below to fight a Golemax who is carefully guarding the chest.
- Wish 5 : Lanelle Celestial Archipelago – Starting from the Water Temple, you will see another round planet with a hole. Inside is the Ziruta Gumati Shrine but also a chest. This time, the sphere rotates on its own so try to go directly to the lower room through the opening.
- Wish 6 : Lanelle Sky Archipelago – Just south of the round planet, you will find a new circular platform where you will have to fight an upgraded Golemax to obtain the chest.
Necluda Airspace
Let’s move on to the region south of Lanelle, still to the west of the map.
- Wish 7 : North Necluda Sky Archipelago – Nothing too bad here. Depart from the Prelude Sky Island to land on this small islet where you’ll find the chest and some rare ores.
- Wish 8 : Necluda Celestial Archipelago – On the bottom rightmost island of the map, you will have to face a terrible Griock King to obtain the chest.
- Wish 9 : Southern Necluda Celestial Archipelago – Depart from Rabelle Tower to reach this island where you will once again have to face an Ultimate Golemax to obtain the chest.
Firone airspace
Let’s move on to the region in the south-central part of the map.
- Wishes 10 and 11 : Please note that the first two chests can only be obtained once the 4 regional quests of the main story have been completed. Without this, it will be impossible to cross the storm.
- Wish 12 : Firone Celestial Archipelago – Just above Lake Hylia, you can start from the Tower of the Peulers. Another Ultimate Golemax guarding the chest.
Hyrule Airspace
Let’s go back a little to the center of the map for the rest.
- Wish 13 : South Hyrule Sky Archipelago – To the left of the Prelude Sky Island. You leave from the Hyrule Field Tower to reach the island. There, you will see two pools of water. With grip, form a square using two tree logs and place it above the mechanism of the first pool. Then lift the plate that prevents the water from flowing to stick it to the trunks: the water in the pool will empty and you will be able to easily recover the chest as well as a large quantity of ancient Arowana.
Gerudo Airspace
Now let’s go to the southeast of the map.
- Wish 14 : Gerudo East Celestial Archipelago – Starting from the previous island, build yourself a vehicle like an airship to reach this one, higher up. Land as low as possible and then use Infiltration to reach an intermediate level. The puzzle here is particularly difficult. You will have to use a mirror to redirect the light to the door so that it opens and releases the chest. So go upstairs with Infiltration, take the mirror and the stake to attach them to two plates. Then cut the vines and destroy the flamethrower to be able to drop your creation below. Go back down and, using all your elements, build a sort of panel with the mirror at the end to be able to capture the light from afar. This of course only works during the day but the sun revolves around the island: it’s up to you to try several places where the light could be reflected (watch our video at the top of the article for more help).
- Wish 15 : Gerudo Sky Archipelago East – You need to go to the island in the far southwest corner of the map. You can start from the Gerudo Heights Tower. There, you will have to face a Griock King again.
- Wish 16 : Hyrule West Sky Archipelago – Depart from Gerudo Heights Tower again and aim for the island just above Mount Satori to face a new Ultimate Golemax.
- Wish 17 : Gerudo North Sky Archipelago – Depart from the Gerudo Heights Tower once again to find a new round planet. This time, a complex puzzle is hidden inside the “sky vault island”. Go to the central platform to move the mirror until it illuminates another mirror and the latter reflects light. Follow the streak of light to find a new mirror to move and so on until you can project a light on the yellow crystal which will activate the grid, thus releasing the chest.
Hebra Airspace
The last three wishes are found in the upper left of the map, in the Hebra region.
- Wish 18 : Southern Hebra Celestial Archipelago – Leave from the Tower of Terel Pass to easily reach this island, or at least the one attached to it. The wish is simply in a chest.
- Wish 19 : Northern Tabanta Celestial Archipelago – For this one, start again from the Tower of the Col de Térel but make sure you have Babil, from the Piaf Village, a Zora armor and at least 2 endurance gauges (as well as a dish or a remedy in stock). You will have to go up the waterfall in front of you. Once on the island, use a wagon to reach the second one. Be careful, the rails are then broken. Use a hot air balloon for example to reach the island where the chest is.
- Wish 20 : West Hebra Celestial Archipelago – Use the Terel Pass Tower again to reach this island where a last terrible King Griock is hiding.
