Apple TV+: this popular sci-fi series will not be entitled to a season 2

End clap for Constellationthe Apple TV+ series which ends at the end of its first season. Deadline we learn in fact that the streaming platform has chosen to stop the production of this fiction launched on March 27 on the service, without providing explanations on the reasons for this end.

A quality series

As a reminder, here is the official synopsis provided by the Apple brand:

Created and written by Peter Harness, Constellation follows Jo (played by Noomi Rapace), an astronaut who returns to Earth after a space disaster and discovers that key elements of her life seem to have disappeared. This adventure series explores the dark reaches of human psychology and chronicles one woman’s desperate struggle to uncover the dark side of space travel and regain everything she has lost.

This series has been generally appreciated by critics (with a score of 71 on Rotten Tomatoes in particular) and enjoys good comments from the public. Our colleague Judy Berman from Time Magazine estimates for example: “The application of quantum physics in Constellation may not surprise scientists or science fiction fans. What makes it fascinating is the way Harness translates these abstract ideas into the inner lives of his characters..

SF fans spoiled on Apple TV+

Everyone who was hoping for a sequel to Constellation will therefore have to make up their minds. Regardless, Apple TV+ continues to give pride of place to science fiction in its catalog. We think in particular of Dark Matter which gets off to a flying start on the service, or even at the announcement of a series Neuromancer or to Silo.

Were you able to view Constellation, and if so, are you disappointed that there won’t be a season 2? Tell us in the comments.
