While the secret in Chapter 1 was obvious, and rather difficult to miss, this is no longer the case in the second chapter of Black Myth Wukong. You can meet the Yellow Wind King before visiting the rest of the area, which will make for a particularly difficult fight. Here are the steps to follow, in order to unlock the Wind Tamer relic.
Drunken Warthog Quest
- The first step is to beat the boss Second prince of rats. Then, take the suspension bridge to reach the Scree Lair.
- Continue following the main path, until you reach a large open area, in the middle of which there is a warthog friendly. He is drunk and needs a specific item to sober up, the Stone of sobering up.
- There seem to be two ways to help him sober up. In fact, the Sobering Stone can be found in two different locations. The first is to complete the quest of thestone manat the bottom of the canyon. Kill boss mother of stones, then bring her heart. You will have to beat him in turn, then reload the area, so that his shop is available. It costs, 6480 Willpower.
- The second option is to find a Stone of Sobering in a jar of ruins of the village located after the Temple of the Hidden Tiger. To access it, you will have to beat the Tiger of the Vanguard.
- After bringing the Sobering Stone, the warthog will ask you to bring him something to eat.
- Head back to the Temple of the Lurking Tiger, to the right of the entrance you will encounter another hungry warthog. He is a bit more specific and will ask you for a Jade Lotusone of the flowers that can be found on the water surface in the area.
- In exchange for this meal, he will give you a tiger mask, which can be used to open certain passages in the area, by interacting with the golden statues.
- Return to the first warthog, the one that was drunk. He has changed position, and the fight will automatically start when you approach him. His name is also revealed: the Yellow-Coated Squire.
- After beating him, a cutscene will start. He will open access to the secret area, by passing through the gap between the stone doors.
Secret: Kingdom of Sahali
In this new area, two bosses await you. The first pits you against a younger version of the Tiger of the Vanguard. After defeating him, advance into the area, then turn right, in order to reach the top of a rocky plateau, on which the King of the Yellow Wind awaits you. But he is not hostile in this memory of the past. Talk to him, so that he rings the gong, which will summon Fuban, the great scarab.
The fight against Fuban is not particularly difficult, but it turns out to be spectacular. Aim for the front legsin order to inflict damage on him. When he hides under the sand, focus on dodging, while waiting for the Yellow Wind King to arrive.
Once the fight is won, you will obtain the precious relic. As the King of the Yellow Wind confessed to you, it counteracts his powers. Remember to equip it.
When to use the relic on the Yellow Wind King?
It is advisable to wait for the boss to summon his sand doubles. Using the relic will interrupt this power, while blinding him. He will also be surprised to see you in possession of this object. The rest of the fight proceeds normally, although he will gain new formidable powers, based on sand, when his life is low.
