Unlike the base game, Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree makes navigating the map quite difficult. You can often see interesting places from afar, but reaching them is much harder. This is quite problematic in the case of Bonny Village, since it is a mandatory waypoint in order to reach Manus Metyr Cathedral and the Flooded Religious Quarter.
Location of the village of Bonny
This small area is located to the east of the central area of Altus Occulte, at the foot of the cliff dividing the area in two.
Where to go to reach the Village of Bonny?
There is only one way to reach Bonny Village, you have to go through the Ruins of Moorththen are on the right side of the cliffs. A Cross of Miquella and Dane are located at the entrance to these ruins.
Approach the central hole, there are several ways to go down inside. You can go through the door of the central building, or through a dilapidated staircase located to the west of the area.
All you have to do is go down the platforms and ledges, trying not to kill yourself along the way. Then, take the tunnel that will lead you to a ladder. By climbing the latter, you will emerge from the well of Bonny Village.
Notable points of interest
Bonny Village is full of shadows, with special enemies, the Great Potentates. They respawn after a rest or death, they are not really unique. We will especially remember:
- The Bonny Butcher Knife is found in the village.
- The “Oh Mother” emote is unlocked by interacting with the statue at the foot of the tree, north of the village. You will need it later to open a secret passage.
- A Revered Spirit Ash can be collected at the end of the canyon dividing the village in two.
- The southern exit of the village leads to a bridge, with a dungeon nearby.
- The East exit allows you to reach the Manus Metyr Cathedral. Be careful, by crossing this bridge, you will trigger the end event of Miquella’s enchantment. This will progress the quests of the various NPCs.
