Pokemon X & Pokemon Yare the two versions of the new game of the license on Nintendo 3DS, with a release scheduled for October 12, it is more than time to decide on which of the two boxes to choose, like the previous generations they offer exclusive content. Since not everyone has the luxury of buying both editions, we suggest you discover here what differentiates them.

First of all, let’s clarify that the prices of both versions of the game are identical, and that neither is supposed to be superior to the other in theory. The differences are mostly visual at first, then you will encounter a different legendary Pokémon depending on the version of the game. It is not yet known if this will simply change the capture order, or if the other legendary will not be present at all. But that would be a bit of a shame.

Unfortunately for the moment we do not know all the exclusive Pokémon of each version, however it is certain that many of them can only be encountered in version X, or in version Y. You will therefore have to exchange them with other players who have the other version, via the Street Pass option of the 3DS. While waiting to have the game in hand, and to be able to draw up an exhaustive list of the differences between the two versions, here are those that we know:
