DMM Bitcoin, a Japanese cryptocurrency exchange, was hacked for 48 billion yen ($305 million).

Exchanges said 4,502.9 BTC were stolen and it claims to have implemented measures to avoid further losses.

“Rest assured, we are committed to fully compensating the stolen BTC with the support of the companies in the group.”

The exchange restricted all spot purchases on the platform and added that withdrawals in Japanese Yen “may take longer than usual.”
