During your many trips to Fort Watch in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom, you will inevitably hear about the famous village of Écaraille. Apparently, the latter is invaded and you will have to save it in new side quests!
Where to find the village of Écaraille on the map?
You will find Ecaraille at the bottom right of the Hyrule map. It is located in the Eastern Necluda regionsouth of Rabelle Tower. On your map, locate a sort of lizard tail pointing towards an island. The village is at the base of this tail which is also one of the Dragon Tears to find with Impa.
When you arrive, be sure to unlock the only shrine in the area that you will see: Sifu Mimi. This will serve as your teleportation point ! Talk to the two villagers right next to the tent to start the side quest [Invasion de pirates !]. Before you rush into the sand to eliminate the vermin there, return to Fort Watch to prepare yourself: the fights ahead can be difficult if you don’t have good weapons or dishes to restore your hearts. Check out our list of recipes below if you want to make some. Stock up on arrows and flower bombs, and use Amalgam on your weapons to strengthen them. Don’t forget to invoke any oaths you have in your possession as well.
Pirate Invasion: Find all enemies and eliminate them
Your mission, should you choose to accept it, will be to knock out all the Bokoblins and Lizalfos that are hanging around the village of Écaraille. Don’t take it lightly because most of them are of a higher rank (black) and do a lot of damage. In most cases, the ranged attack will be welcome. Otherwise, try to throw them into the water : they will die immediately (except lizards).
A large part of the enemies are in the houses and another part inside the big boat. If you still have red in your bar at the top of the screen, it’s because you forgot the black Bokoblin who hides inside the village well ! Reconstruction of Ecaraille
Once all enemies are defeated, a short cutscene with the villagers will play and Serasiehthe village chief, will ask you to help him rebuild it with a huge amount of materials: logs and rice! Be careful, we advise you to start by going to the pond to get the bushels of rice (as explained below) because the logs can disappear if you leave them too long.
Where to find the 15 logs?
The island is full of coconut trees that would make beautiful logs but the problem is that Sérasieh wants wood that does not come from palm trees. So you’ll have to find some more trees. Remember the Sifu Mimi Shrine you were told not to neglect? Teleport there and you’ll find some trees and fear-trunks to cut down right next to it.
With Emprise, don’t forget to glue them all together so you can easily transport them later. If you don’t have enough logs, go up the slope in front of the shrine, spotting a huge oak tree up high. You’ll then find a small forest and that’s where you have to go for rice.
Where to find 20 bushels of rice?
While it is possible to buy rice in some villages, the best thing to do here is to save your rubies and go harvest it yourself! So head to the tiny forest you can see from the shrine: it is actually theDilamne pond. Cut down the trees you need and equip yourself with a sword or any sharp weapon to cut the grass sticking out of the water! Every now and then you’ll get a bushel of rice to pick up.
If that’s not enough, you can check out all the other ponds in the area. That’s where the rice is hiding.
List of Écaraille repairs
Now that you have gathered all the materials, the reconstruction is far from over and there are 5 buildings that need to be repaired.
- The Inn : Just get on the boat and use Grip to remove the debris. Be careful, there are two debris at the bottom of the water so keep a board to float on the surface and be able to reach them. Reward: x5 Volt fruits
- The Restaurant : Create a staircase with the crates to be able to climb high enough. Cut down a nearby palm tree and grab the trunk with Grip to pass it through the two holes. Reward: x1 Sea Fried Rice
- The Treasure Hunt : Again, cut down a palm tree trunk and climb it to the top of the boat with Grip. Climb onto the boat and place the trunk in the holes. Reward: x5 flower bombs.
- The Chief’s House : First remove the box blocking the hole, cut a log and place it in the circles as usual. Gain some height thanks to the slope next to it. Reward: x3 armo sea bream
- The House of Armis : always the same thing, cut a palm trunk straight and take some height to place them in the circles. Reward: 50 rubies.
The missions are now complete and the villagers will thank you with a banquet. This village of Écaraille becomes very important to you because if you have not yet bought your dream house, know that you can there sleep for freeat the hostel, but also eat for free.
