The end of the Black Myth Chapter 1: Wukong has one of the most impressive fights in the game, and it is against the powerful Kuai Black Bear. The second part of your confrontation with the Black Wind King is a tense fight against a bear several meters tall and with sharp claws. If you want to know how to defeat it easily, I have some tips for you.
How to beat Kuai Black Bear in Black Myth: Wukong
One of the tactics that is still important to keep in mind is to use Guangzhi right from the start of the fight. With several charged strong attacks and a special (dodge + strong attack) you will not only do a lot of damage to Kuai, but you will hurt him with fire in its first phase (during the second it will be much less effective). He Wandering Spectere becomes your ally again early on to take some more life off of him. Finally, I recommend you have two focus points to do the following:
Combo the immobilization spell, strong attack and then the diving attack skill to stun the enemy. Once you finish with that combo, immediately, when the bear staggers back, use the Cloud Step Spell to follow him and be able to deal him one more blow.
With these tips in mind, let’s look at bear attacks:
- Simple combo: three or four hits, the last one ends in a stomp and is easy to punish.
- Pounce: The Black Bear lunges at you, slamming the ground. A perfect dodge will leave you in a good spot for punishment.
- Leap: The Bear tries to jump on you and, upon landing, is exposed to your blows.
- Fire area: When you take away more than half of his life, the second phase of the fight will start with columns of fire coming out of the ground. Be careful not to touch the fire left on the ground, or you will take damage.
- Black wind load: Just like in the previous fight, the boss will turn into a black wind and you won’t be able to hit him, only dodge. This ends with him lunging at you, leaving you room for punishment.
- Fire Combo: two horizontal hits that then end with a jump and two vertical hits. Wait until the end of the combination to attack.
The trick to this fight is to be overly aggressive and violent. It’s easy to stun the bear with focus point attacks, and its movements aren’t particularly fast. Use Cloud Pass a lot to extend your combos and you can finish him off easily.
