This April’s Community Day Classic invites you to rediscover Marcacrin, the Pig Pokémon. at the heart of three hours of intensive meetings. Indeed, it will be featured this Saturday, April 29 from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. in Niantic’s game, Pokémon GO. To help you out, we’re taking a look back at this little creature in this Community Day guide.
Community Day Classic Pokémon GO: Marcacrin
For a few years now, players of the mobile game have been entitled to a special day each month highlighting a particular Pokémon for a few hours. Seen like that, it’s not necessarily incredible, but there are also interesting bonuses like the increase in the meeting of chromatic forms, or even the time of Incense and Lures which is tripled.

- A Special study named Marcacrin Classical Community Day will be available if you purchase the dedicated ticket. It will consist of capturing or evolving Marcacrin.
Tips to make the most of the event with Marcacrin
Since this event only lasts a few hours, you need to be well prepared and to help you, we offer you some tips to fully enjoy and optimize your meetings.
First of all, it will be necessary take into account your environmentbecause depending on where you are, it will not be possible to maximize the meeting potential, but you can still take advantage of certain tips.
- Maximum optimization of encounters : using a Lure module and an Incense at the same time,
- Minimal Dating Optimization: using a Lure module or Incense.
Of course, even if you move around in real life you will also find some, but incense and lures will guarantee you Pokémon quite often. Be careful though, Marcacrin is not 100% guaranteed to drop on every creature that spawns. However, it has a high chance of appearing.

How to evolve Marcacrin (Swinub) in Pokémon GO?
To evolve Marcacrin, you simply need candy. You don’t need any additional items.
- From Marcacrin to Cochignon: 25 candies
- From Pig to Mammochon: 100 candies and a Sinnoh Stone
- Number of Marcacrin to catch (excluding x2 Community Day bonus): 42 (21 with Nanana berries)
Mamoswine’s exclusive attack at Community Day
The special feature of this event is that you can get an exclusive attack by evolving the featured Pokémon into its final stage. As for Mamoswine, it will be able to Learn Ancient Power from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m.
- Trainer’s Combat Power: 60 with a chance to increase the user’s Attack and Defense.
- Arena and Raid Power: 70
Marcacrin shiny and its evolutions
To finish this guide and allow you to have what you need, we will return to the shiny version of this family of Pokémon. Basically, they are brown, but in their chromatic form, they become green or yellow (for Cochignon). So remember to check Marcacrin’s color when you start an encounter. Also, don’t forget the small icon that will be at the level of the Pokémon’s information bar also allowing you to check if the creature is shiny or not.
