There is something for everyone and every level of play in the Sanctuaries of Zelda Tears of the Kingdom. We invite you to discover how to pass the tests of one of the very first Sanctuaries of the Gerudo region. The game offers you a small reward after your crossing of the canyon and the desert, and before braving the sandstorm.
Where to find the Maya Tata sanctuary?
There’s little chance you’ll miss this shrine, since it’s one of those highlighted in a village, in order to serve as a fast travel point for Link. What’s more, it’s located in a literally flat, desert area: the Gerudo Desert. In fact, it’s located directly in the oasis.
How to complete it?
This is clearly one of the easiest Sanctuaries, in order to offer you a moment of relaxation. The first test simply asks you to wait for a sled goes down the sandy slope. Catch her with theGripget on board, then use Retrospectivein order to bring it back up to the top, with you on board.
For the second test, the principle is very simple: you have to build a vehicle capable of traveling on quicksand and its currents. Just take the sled, stick the two turbines on it in a balanced way and the steering wheel, and off you go. There is no battery management in the Sanctuaries. We advise you to make a small detour on the left edge of the main basin, in order to attach the third turbine to your vehicle, in order to gain more thrust.
This will help you go upstream in the passage on the far left, to reach the optional chest. But since it only contains 10 wooden arrows, you can also just rush to the end of the Sanctuary, opposite, in order to collect your reward.
