New stolen photos of the iPhone 16 Pro expected for September

New images of the rumored iPhone 16 Pro have just surfaced on Twitter. We discover that, as predicted by rumors, the screens should be larger than ever with these new models. The iPhone 16 Pro would thus benefit from a panel of 6.3 inches in front, against 6.9 inches for iPhone 16 Pro Max. For comparison, Apple’s iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max are currently limited to 6.1 inches and 6.7 inches respectively. However, the figures for their successors have not yet been confirmed, but it is assumed that a keynote could be organized by the manufacturer next September to find out more.

Obviously, with their larger screen, the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max will also be more imposing, it seems. Apple would have tried to reduce the consequences of this new diagonal on the size of the chassis, however this will probably not have been enough, as we can see in these images. Some will also notice that the back camera seems to have benefited from a major makeover, including more impressive sensors. It is difficult, however, to know if this design will actually see the light of day in the fall.

Coming back to the photos shared on the web, let us point out that we cannot ensure their authenticity with certainty, for the moment. This could indeed be a photo of the real iPhone 16 Pro, but that’s unlikely as the models in question might not go into production until around August. We then imagine that an informant who had access to Apple models made them in three dimensions, which turns out to be much more plausible, in our opinion.

What consequences for the consumer?

A larger screen should provide better comfort during streaming sessions, although less generous palms might find it a disadvantage when using one-handed. Furthermore, you should know that the slab is today the component which costs the more expensive among subcontractors. Apple could therefore pass on this potential price increase to the final amount requested in store to purchase a phone. For comparison, note that today the iPhone 15 Pro is available from 1,229 euros in its 256 GB version. It is the most affordable, the iPhone 15 Pro Max being priced from 1,479 euros in France metropolitan area, compared to 1,469 euros for a Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra.

The more imposing format of the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max could also be the cause of a greater mass on the scale. However, this should not exceed a few dozen additional grams. The iPhone 15 Pro currently weighs 187 g, compared to 221 g for the iPhone 15 Pro Max.

Please note, moreover, that to compensate for this wider diagonal, Apple would have worked on the thickness of the borders around the screen. A better size/screen ratio would therefore be on the menu, reaching around 85% on iPhone 15 Pro. Finally, the iPhone 16 Pro could be finer than the iPhone 15 Pro.

iPhone 16 Pro: release date and technical sheet

The iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max could be announced at the same time as the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus, around mid-September. The technical sheet should then give pride of place to a new A18 Pro chip for high-end models, perhaps coupled with a thirty-two-core Neural Engine. The ProMotion refresh rate of one hundred and twenty frames per second is expected to always be reserved for this duo. The iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus, for their part, could be satisfied with a processor similar to the A17 Pro which today powers the iPhone 15 Pro and the iPhone 15 Pro Max.

  • Images of the new iPhone 16 Pro have just leaked
  • We cannot be certain that these are authentic photos
  • The screen is larger than that of the iPhone 15 Pro
