New region, new regional investigation, with the main quest of the Gerudo Desert and the elevation of the wise Riju, the queen of this people. In this new guide of Zelda TotK, we show you the path, from the plain of Hyrule, to the invocation of the oath.

A short excursion into the desert of Zelda Tears of the Kingdom, in order to continue your main quests on behalf of Pru’ha. In this area, a violent sandstorm hits the desert continuously and delicious critters called gibdo have made their appearance. Let’s see together how to solve the problems of the Gerudo people.

How to get to Gerudo City?

  • The desert area is located in the southwest of the kingdom map. To get there, you will have to go through the canyon just after the relay at the edge of the plain and the Tut Ume sanctuary attached to it.
  • You will make a first stop at the Bazaar Assez, taking the Maya Tata sanctuary on the way. It is in this small hamlet that you will be able to buy the first part of the Sablons outfit, so take advantage of it, anti-heat effect is needed in the corner.
  • We recommend that you open your map before heading into the storm.which will completely confuse your tablet’s GPS: take advantage of a last moment of respite to look at where the city is located.
  • Upon arriving and completing the Solyota Nigo sanctuary, you will quickly realize that the tribe has been forced to hide underground to face the invasion of gibdos. More directions on how to enter the underground city in the guide below.

Before you go find Riju and the Temple of Lightning, you’ll have to make a quick detour to Gerudo City. There, an atmosphere of death reigns, but you’ll quickly come across a heavily guarded underground city. Here’s where to find the gutter that will take you to the main quest.

Defend Gerudo City

  • Go find Riju at the ruins just north of town. There you will learn to master its lightning power: it triggers an AOE that increases in magnitude over time. Any arrow fired in this area triggers a super-powerful lightning bomb.
  • Upon returning, you will need to prepare a plan to defend Riju from the attack of the Gibdos who will attempt to infiltrate through 3 points, coming from 3 different roots. Keep the key points of this phase in mind, it will be useful for the boss.
  • Place the units as you wish and above all keep an eye on your minimap at all times to see where the enemy is advancing.. Take advantage of Riju’s lightning arrows to make boxes by aiming at the ground between several enemies. Flying enemies will also come to put their two cents in along the way.
  • You will have to destroy the roots one by one when they light up.leaving their weak point exposed. It’s not very readable, but it’s essential to blow them up very quickly to prevent the invasion from dragging on.

How to access the Temple of Lightning?

  • You will have to align 3 large mirrors in the desert. Exploring the desert is a pain, we recommend the craft of a sand rafta plan to obtain in the depths of the area. It is made with a sled on which to place a rudder at the front and a turbine at the back. Bookmark it in Duplicate if you do it yourself, it will definitely be useful to you.
  • For the most complicated of these, you will have to take all the crank ends out of a cache to be revealed with a bomb. Then glue the two soneau platforms together and add the crank ends. Activate the platforms, place them as high as possible and go to the roof of the building with infiltration to collect all of this.
  • Once the 3 mirrors are well placed, an antenna to touch with Riju will appear. Go there to do his skill on the stele and make the dungeon appear.
  • For the temple, plan on mirrored sound artifacts to be picked up in the sky islands of Gerudo airspace. They will help you solve certain puzzles more easily.

Here you are finally in front of the temple of the Gerudo people, a huge pyramid whose access is blocked by a corrupted root of Queen Gibdo from Zelda Tears of the Kingdom. Discover our walkthrough of this maze that will involve Riju and the mirror sound artifact.
