Samsung nods to Apple in new ad

Remember: just last week, Apple was singled out for an explosive ad promoting its new iPad. So much so that Samsung quickly reacted, publishing its own video referring to this little scandal. We discover a press very similar to that present in the content of Cupertino, and which had created the controversy.

Obviously, this Samsung ad highlights its own tablets. We thus discover one of the devices from the Galaxy Tab S9 range, which already has no less than five models to its credit. There Galaxy Tab S9 FE competes in particular with the tenth generation iPad, with a 10.9-inch screen and an Exynos 1380 chip engraved with a precision of five nanometers, of proprietary design. For comparison, the iPad 10 is entitled to a screen of the same size and an identical engraving fineness as well, but with only four gigabytes of RAM under the hood compared to six to eight gigabytes with the Galaxy Tab S9 FE.

With the Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 FE+ model, it is even possible to reach up to twelve gigabytes of RAM provided you choose the model with the maximum internal storage.

What is the Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra worth?

The Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra is the best in this range, with twelve to sixteen gigabytes of RAM. The larger this number, the more the tablet is normally expected to be able to handle many tasks at the same time, without flinching. The associated operating system is obviously Android 13, where Apple’s new iPad Pros are powered by iPadOS 17, but not in its most advanced version.

At the front, the Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra is entitled to a large screen of 14.6 inches. For comparison, the largest iPad Pros and iPad Airs, presented during the last keynote Let loose, are for their part confined to only thirteen inches. But users can enjoy 2K definition with both ranges. Despite everything, the Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra also offers a better size/screen ratio of over 90%, even if Apple’s latest tablets already did better than their predecessors in this area.

Price comparison: Tab S9 vs iPad

The Galaxy Tab S9 costs today 899 euros for the basic version with 128 GB of internal storage, compared to 1,149 euros for a 256 GB Galaxy Tab S9+ and 1,279 euros for double memory. On the other hand, you need to count on no less than 1,579 euros to afford the new Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra, 5G compatible, with 256 GB of storage space or 1,899 euros with 1 TB.

Memory is much more expensive at Apple, since the Californian company asks for example to pay 439 euros for the basic edition of its tenth generation iPad with 64 GB of internal storage, but 609 euros with 256 GB. The difference is also notably on the side of the high-end tablets of this manufacturer, as with the thirteen-inch iPad Pro OLED, delivered with 256 GB of internal storage for 1,219 euros compared to 1,949 euros with 1 TB.
