This new mission of Zelda Tears of the Kingdom will ask you to solve a rather complex puzzle if you do not know the map of Hyrule well enough. Find a video walkthrough above and its written and illustrated version below.
The statue of the source of wisdom
As you explore the Lanelle region, you will surely come across a mysterious statue of the goddess that glows. This famous source of wisdom is right next to the Lanelle Mountain Tower, below.
Talk to her to trigger a new special mission. She will ask you to go see the Statue of the Matriarch in a gorge in Hebra.
Where to find the Matriarch statue?
This large statue is located in the Forgotten Temple from the Hebra region. If you’ve already been there for the Dragon’s Tears quest with Lady Impa, then just use the Mayan Usiyu Shrine to teleport. Otherwise, you have to go outside and find the temple entrance, right in the middle of the gorge (see purple dot on the map). Start from the Urban Meadow Tower.
Once inside, head towards the sanctuary then pass through the arch to go to the back of the room: you will see a long stone statue lying on the ground. Approach her and click “examine” to update your mission. Now return to Lanayru to report to the goddess statue. She will now ask you for a Nedrac’s Claw.
Where to find a Nedrac’s Claw?
Nedrac is one of the four dragons that roam the sky. His ice power is not the most dangerous but avoid snow clouds as much as possible if you want to avoid being paralyzed and crashing to the ground. Find Nedrac’s full journey in the guide below but we advise you to start from the Lanelle Mountain Tour and wait for him to come out of the chasm of the Nedrane Plain just opposite.
Once you see him, dash towards him with your paraglider and use an arrow to hit one of his legs. claw will then shine and probably fall from very high: don’t panic, just follow it and you will be able to pick it up on the ground. Then return to the foot of the statue of wisdom, in Lanelle, take the claw in your inventory and place it in the water, in front of the statue. A column of light will rise into the sky and the statue will offer you x1 Raw Sapphire.
