The main quest of Zora’s Domain is probably the most complex of the four to start and understand in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom. The clues are all there but we must admit that it is difficult to succeed in everything at a fast pace. So here is a guide to help you.
Obtain the Zora armor and complete the first quests of Sidon
If you are looking to know where this famous “celestial fish” is, it is because you have started the main quest of Zora’s Domain and spoken to the scholar Jitato, at Lake Toto. For the sake of these missions, it is important to recover the Zora armor from Yona, at the Domain’s Healing Center. This will allow you to go up the waterfalls at full speedwithout the slightest effort and therefore to easily reach Sidon at Mipha Park.
Once King Dorefah is found in his hiding place, you can return to speak to Sidon at Mipha Park. He will tell you again about the inscriptions in the engraving without further instructions. Your only objective is then to find a “celestial fish” and to understand what the “drop” is.
Where to find the celestial fish?
In truth, it is enough to look behind Sidon while you talk to him and look up at the sky a little: there is a huge fish-shaped island up there, and from it flows a huge waterfall. Below you will find the full wording of the clue if you want to search for yourself (you have to follow the quest “The Trail to the Sky”).
Head to the edge of the mountain, towards the waterfall: you will see what you need to make a hot air balloon. Use your Duplicate power if you have it to make this easier. You can use a Flamethrower Soneau artifact for the heat needed to get the vehicle airborne. Also keep a torch or a flaming weapon on you to climb as high as possible (indeed, if the battery runs out, you can recharge it and stay in the air for as long as necessary).
Once you are high enough in the air, use your Paraglider to land on the island of dancing scales. Look down to the left in the sky to see a large scale. Again, the instructions are a bit vague so here’s what to do:
- Take your bow and draw it towards the giant drop in the sky,
- Arm your arrow with a royal scale given by King Dorefah a few minutes before,
- This will activate a kind of blue veil which will transform into a drop,
- The arrow will plunge into the huge lake of mud, creating the famous “water platform” and this will end the quest “The Trail to the Sky”
Then return to Sidon for the rest of the main quests of Zora’s Domain. Be careful, you will have to face a Like a Vase before that. This is when you will unlock Sidon’s power: a water shield. With it, use arrows with chuchu jelly or water fruits at the end to eliminate the monster easily.
