Wanted Star Wars Outlaws: How to remove your wanted status?

A true outlaw, Kay Vess is committing crimes across the galaxy and it’s not to everyone’s taste. In Star Wars Outlaws, the Empire and other factions will probably want you dead at some point, so here’s how to escape.

Why does the “Wanted” status trigger on Star Wars Outlaws?

A bit like GTA, the heroine you play is clearly not well regarded by the justice system and, here, the police is the empire. No matter what planet you’re on, if you misbehave in front of a stormtrooper or Imperial officer, you’ll be immediately wanted and have to flee far enough away for everything to calm down. But the Imperials aren’t the only ones out for you: if you have a poor reputation with one of the game’s factions, you can be sure that the clan will send mercenaries after you to eliminate you.

Similarly, entering enemy territory (bad reputation or looters on Tatooine for example) will automatically put the characters in your path on alert.

What happens when you get arrested?

If you die or get caught while the “Wanted” status is active, you will lose a large amount of credits depending on the status level (visible at the top left of the screen). As for factions, you will obviously lose points of reputation.

To avoid such a situation, it is recommended not to approach stormtroopers or draw your weapon in front of them, especially in restricted areas.

How to remove Wanted status or a contract on your head?

  • When the Wanted level gets too high, simply stay out of sight and off-road, away from Stormtroopers. Using the speeder is a good trick to hurry to find a covered area (a cave for example or an asteroid field in space).
  • You can also search for a corrupt officer (in Cantinas or near spaceports) and bribe him to remove your wanted status. This can cost you credits, so use this option when you have money to spend.
  • If you ever reach the maximum level of Wanted and Death Troopers start to appear, the best trick is to eliminate them until you get an access card. Inside their camp, use it on a terminal to remove your wanted status.
  • In space you can simply perform a hyperspace jump in order to remove the status.
