Elektor is a Pokémon of the type Electric / Flight with good stats and an excellent support movepool. It will be able to assert itself in Overused thanks to its staying power and its very interesting dual type: only two weaknesses for 6 resistances, all useful. Elektor will ideally be used defensively, Fulguris having better offensive options.
Physically Defensive (OU) |

Elektor @ Remains | |||
Special Ability: Pressure |
Thunder / Change Flash |
||
Nature : Insured |
Heatwave / PC Ice / Toxic |
||
EV: HP 252 / Def 164 / Atk Sp 76 / Spd 16 |
Anti-Fog / Toxic / Heatwave / PC Ice
IV: Atk 0 / Def 30 | Landing |
252 HP EVs and 164 Defense EVs allow you to maximize physical bulk, 76 Sp Atk for OHKO Mega-Scarabrute with Thunder, 16 Speed to overtake Scalprey And Mushroom Rigid. Despite its weakness in Rock Traps have even PV on Elektor is interesting in order to maximize its recovery of life points with the Leftovers.
This set is capable of handling a lot of physical threats, especially Bird Spam (Flambusard, Etouraptor And Mega-Scarabrute) And Cizayox. Unfortunately, positioning sweepers and big stabbed attacks will give him a hard time, our bird taking advantage of his type more than his base stats to tank.
Thunder And Change Flash are the best options for STAB, the first one doing very decent damage even without investment, the second one allowing you to keep the momentum and possibly constitute a good base for a Volt-Turn in your team. If Elektor is your main physical wall, prefer Thunder which will be much more effective in getting rid of enemy threats for sure.
Heat wave And PC Ice are excellent offensive options, the former allowing you to beat Noacier, Cizayox or a Scalprey trying to take advantage of a boost on Anti-Mistthe second concerning the Dragons, DemeterusAnd Scorvol for considerable damage. Toxic remains a possible solution if you have effective solutions to the Pokémon mentioned, and will allow Elektor to surprise a staller on the switch.
Anti-Mist is an asset that has Elektorallowing him to fulfill the roles of both physical tank and defoger. His ability to beat Scalprey is a plus, and makes him a very reliable defoger despite a weakness to Rocks. However, choosing a second offensive attack or Toxic is completely viable if you already have a way to get rid of entry hazards.
Landing finally is essential on Elektorwithout this he would be weakened too quickly and would not be able to effectively fulfill his role as a tank throughout the match.
The best allies ofElektor are on the one hand the Pokémon which allow effective defensive coverage, and on the other hand those which it will be able to protect from the threats which it manages well: we can for example think of Heatran, Scalprey Or Keldeo.
Its biggest counters are Pokémon with high Sp Def potential that are immune to status attacks like Melodelfe, Nymphali Or Lucky you.
Useful in the team: – Keldeo – Scalprey – Heatran |
Examples of checks and counters: – Melodelfe – Nymphali – Lucky you |
Specially Defensive (OU) |

Elektor @ Remains | |||
Special Ability: Pressure |
Thunder / Change Flash |
||
Nature : Calm | Heatwave / PC Ice / Toxic |
||
EV: HP 252 / Def 64 / Def Sp 176 / Speed 16 |
Anti-Fog / Toxic / Heatwave / PC Ice
IV: Atk 0 / Def 30 | Landing |
252 EV HP and 176 EV Special Defense allow you to maximize your special bulk, allowing Elektor to keep certain threats in check such as Ectoplasma Or Heatran scarf. The points in Defense allow our bird to resist Return of Mega-Scarabrute at +2 after the Rock Traps and the recovery of the Remains. The speed is always there to overtake Scalprey And Mushroom Rigid.
The attack options are the same as for the defensive set, its role being very similar.
This set is less common because it is less useful in the current meta, however it has a niche role and can very well fit into a team struggling to respond to Heatran And Flambsardand requiring a defogger.
He will appreciate the support of a physical tank that can beat placement sweepers, this version ofElektor unable to hope to defeat them. Pokémon like Hippodocus Or Scorvol will be welcome.
Useful in the team: – Hippodocus – Scorvol – Melodelfe |
Examples of checks and counters: – Melodelfe – Tyranitar – Mega-Altaria |
