Like all outfits and weapons from previous games in the franchise, it is possible to obtain the white celestial sword from Skyward Sword without needing to use an Amiibo. Here’s how to do it in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom.
Restore the Matriarch Statue
Why restore the statue of the Matriarch?
In Hyrule are three statues of the goddess in sources that will ask you for help restoring the Matriarch statue. No matter the order in which you complete the missions, you will only need to talk to the Matriarch once and the other two will simply ask you for a claw of dragon as an offering. By completing the three missions, the Matriarch statue will then be restored and you will be able to speak to her to obtain a superb reward.
Where to find the Matriarch Statue?
This large statue is located in the Forgotten Temple from the Hebra region. If you’ve already been there for the Dragon’s Tears quest with Lady Impa, then just use the Mayan Usiyu Shrine to teleport. Otherwise, you have to go outside and find the temple entrance, right in the middle of the gorge (see purple dot on the map). Start from the Urban Meadow Tower.
Once inside, head towards the sanctuary then pass through the arch to go to the back of the room: you will see a long stone statue lying on the ground. Approach and click “examine” to update your mission.
Obtain the White Heavenly Sword
Once you have placed the three dragon claws as an offering on the altars of the three statues, the last one will tell you to return to the Statue of the Matriarch. This time standing, talk to her so that she offers you the white celestial sword! Note that you can also obtain this sword by using the Amiibo of Link, in its version Skyward Sword.
