In Zelda Tears of the Kingdom, Link gets new powers including a very practical one called Amalgam. The latter allows you to merge materials in order to build vehicles but also weaponry. Among the most powerful weapons in the game, we find those composed of Ancestral Blade, a rare material that we explain how to obtain.
Why is the Ancestral Blade so powerful?
The power of the Ancestral Blade is often underestimated by Tears of the Kingdom players. In fact, it will even manage to make legendary swords like the Master Sword pale in comparison. Although it is too small to be wielded alone, it can be fused with weapons or arrows to achieve a attack power 50. She can kill most monsters. all at oncealthough it should be noted that powerful Bosses can resist its effects. It destroys absolutely everything in its path, and can completely disintegrate anything it touches.
Be careful thoughregardless of the object it is fused to, the blade is incredibly fragile and will break after a single hit. But the worst part is that enemies defeated using an Ancient Blade will never drop materials or items. If these arrows disintegrate enemies, so does their loot! It is therefore important to keep them preciously, for fights where it will be important to do big damage, regardless of the drawbacks of the Ancient Blade.
Where to find ancestral blades?
If you still want to use this overpowered weapon and its drawbacks, there is still a way to get infinite. Because the ancestral blade is a really rare loot that you will not easily obtain in Hyrule. Here is the technique:
- Complete the 5th Sage quest (end of game),
- Meet at the Temple of the Spirit,
- Go down into the hole and go all the way to the bottom to talk to the Golem Assistant located to the right of the Sage,
- He will then offer you an Ancestral Blade,
- Now you can trade him 50 Sonium Coins for 1 Ancestral Blade and do so infinitely.
If you need an Ancestral Blade early in the game, here are the coordinates where you can go to find one:
- [0535, -3611, 0007] Alpages Relay (nearby teleport point: Utu Xoqi Shrine): Enter the relay well. Move forward on dry land to destroy the wall with a flower bomb and continue to the back of the cave to come across an extinguished campfire with wooden crates on the left. In the chest is an ancestral blade.
- You can also use the Amiibo of Archer Link (Breath of the Wild) to get one easily. The loot is not guaranteed but remember that you can try once per day.
