Cheese is a special cooking ingredient in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom: it is not sold everywhere and to start being able to buy or exchange it you will have to complete a quest from Elimith Village first. Here are all the necessary steps
What is cheese used for?
In the full list of recipes, about ten of them can only be cooked with cheese. So you will need to get some if you want to complete this list 100%. That said, this ingredient does not add any additional effect to your dishes, it simply makes red hearts. Rice with venison gratin is for example an excellent case (especially if you take divine meat).
The quest “A Whole Cheese” in the Village of Élimith will ask you to bring a piece of Cheese to Mayor Baldinn by asking for help from two farmers north of the village: Rhodo for the milk and Naye to transform it into cheese!
Where to find Élimith cheese?
- Once, and only once, the quest “Tout un Fromage” completed at Village of Élimithyou can find some on site, in the dairy. (Elimith Farm).
- It will then be possible to buy some or to speak to Naye and exchange a bottle of fresh milk for a precious piece of cheese.
- It will also be possible to buy some at the merchant Fort Guet for 20 rubies.
