This is an item that you will quickly forget once you have obtained it in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom, but which will nevertheless have its uses, notably for unlocking the Great Fairies!
How to unlock the towing harness?
To get it, you will need to go to a Relay (any one) and get your first relay points ! To do this, nothing could be simpler: talking to the manager automatically gives you a free point. Spending a paying night gives you another and registering a horse gives you yet another. After 3 pointsyou will then be able to collect a reward.
Enter the relay and talk to the register on the right side from the manager. He will explain how the points work and will offer you your hitch harness.
How to use the harness for the quest Serenade for a Great Fairy?
It is during this rumor of In Search of Truth that you will have to help a troupe of musicians to meet and awaken the first Great Fairy of Hyrule: Tera. The objective is then to repair their cart just in front, simply by using Hold on the wheels available nearby and repositioning them on it. Now that the vehicle is repaired, you will have to drive it with a horse!
The first step is therefore to have found a wild horse, to have calmed it and recorded at the relay (check out our horse guide for more information on this). Then go talk to the manager of the relay, via the outside and ask him to take your horse out. He will then tell you that you have the possibility to attach his harness. Answer yes and select “let’s change the saddle” then the harness in the horse’s harness options.
Mount your horse and head towards the carriage. Dismount and use Hold on the vehicle to bring it closer to the harness and stick it on ! That’s it, your horse can now pull it all. Talk to the musicians again so they can get on and take them to the Great Fairy. Check out the video at the top of the article if you’re still having trouble understanding.
Please note, the harness does not work on Epona since it is not possible to register this mythical horse to be obtained via Amiibos.
