The Ignifus Lizard is a fairly rare resource in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom if you don’t know where to look and especially if you don’t know how to catch it correctly.
What are the Ignifus Lizards used for?
The main use of the ignifus lizard is to be the essential ingredient to concoct an anti-fire remedy which also bears the same name. If you visit the Ordinn region, during the main quest of Yunobo, of the Goron Village, and you do not want to spend your precious rubies to buy the stone armor, then you will need some lizards to make the remedies in question. The Great Fairies will ask you for Ignifus lizards to Upgrade Goron Armor.
Note that the Ignifus Remedy can also be made with an Ignifus Butterfly, which is slightly easier to find since it will fly at your height.
Where to find fire lizards easily?
The firefly lizard is difficult to catch because it sees you coming from several steps away! Just like fireflies, the only way to catch them is to squat to increase your discretion.
