The people of Hyrule are the most ungrateful people possible, and they don’t hesitate to charge Link 10 times the normal price in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom, just because someone is sick at home. This must be an ungrateful technique of them asking for your help, and then charging you full price anyway. To resolve the situation, you must go see Amboise, the merchant’s sister, and start the quest: The Evil of Miasmas.
Where to find the quest to cure the grandmother?
If, after a stroll through the shop, you’re looking to treat grandma, you won’t have to go far. Amboise, the merchant’s sister, is at the back of the village, next to a lit saucepan. She then explains the situation to you, and gives you the quest.
Vegetable Oatmeal Recipe
Amboise explains the basics of the recipe, even if it is a little misleading. You need 3 ingredients to prepare this dish:
- Rice Bushel: You can sometimes get it by cutting certain grass around the village, or in certain shops. However, there is no more in Kakariko’s shop. You can buy it from the traveling merchant Tulos, who is on the main road leading to the village to the west. Rice costs 12 Rupees each.
- Bottle of fresh milk : Similarly, it is difficult to obtain this ingredient outside of shops. We were also able to buy some from Tulos, on the road to the village.
Radiant Flower
The Radiant Flower is the mystery ingredient you need to cure Grandma. You can get this flower pretty much everywhere on the sky islandsincluding the one in the Prelude. Using a Scout Tower, you can also reach any island of a decent size, to collect some. There is also one growing in the village, but it is protected by chickens that will sound the alarm.
All you have to do is throw it all in a saucepan, like the one in front of Amboise. Just one of each ingredient is enough. Oddly enough, there is no need for vegetables. You will get the Solaris Vegetable Oatmeal as a result.
Then talk to Amboise, she will automatically detect that you have the requested dish. By giving it to her, the ending will resolve itself. The next time you go to the store, the prices will be back to normal. We’ll also give you a prepared meal as a thank you, and that’s it. What an ungrateful bunch!
