Zelda Tears of the Kingdom Secret Baths: Where to find the source of the melting rock to complete the mission?

Here is a new side mission that is quite simple to complete in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom, but will require a little thought if you don’t know where to look. Find our video guide at the top of the article as well as the written and illustrated version below.

Start of the mission “The secret baths”

Only once Yunobo’s main quest from Goron Village is completed, you can return to the village and access this mission. You will find a certain Mark, on the wooden bridge right next to the inn. Apparently looking for a source called “melting rock baths”, Mark is particularly disappointed to have found nothing upon arriving in the region.

To get clues about the location of the “secret” place according to Mark, you must speak to the Gorons bathing in the hot water right behind you. They will then explain to you that these famous springs are actually hidden in a cave, next to the Marpo Tunnel.

Where to find the melting rock baths?

Open your map, zoom in and locate “Marco’s Tunnel” a little further south of Goron Village, in Ordinn Ravine. The marker below shows you the exact location to go to.

Once there, you will see a blue rabbit, synonymous with a cave entrance. Be careful, to resist the stifling heat of the volcano, you will have to equip yourself with a fireproof outfit or concoct a fire remedy.

Go inside and use your Yunobo power to break the thick layer of rock at the end of the path. Once the passage is clear, go left to find another rock pile to destroy (several hits from Yunobo are necessary). Behind it, you will come across a hot spring. You simply have to enter it to trigger a cutscene with Mark joining you.

You will get 100 rubies from Mark but most importantly the very special recipe for hard boiled eggs ! By placing a bird egg in hot water, you will indeed get a hard-boiled egg. Also remember that hot springs can restore your red hearts for free.
