Zelda Tears of the Kingdom Serenity Firefly: Where to find them and how to catch them?

The Firefly of Serenity is a fairly rare resource in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom if you don’t know where to look! And you’ll need it badly to complete one of the game’s side quests.

What are the fireflies of serenity for?

Fireflies have two main uses, apart from resale: combine them with a monster resource to obtain a Silencio remedy. This greatly improves your stealth temporarily, ideal for approaching animals or enemies silently. The other use is to give them to the Great Fairies to complete the side quest “The Pied Piper of the Alpine Pastures” since you will need 10.

It gives off a faint glow, thanks to its phosphorescent fluids that are said to improve concentration. Cook it to obtain a remedy that will make you more stealthy.

Where to find it : at night only, near ponds

Utility : remedy, side quest

Where to find serenity fireflies?

Fireflies do not appear that at night. Use a campfire or a bed (the one in your dream house for example) to wait until around 8pm. If you see several yellow dots above the ground that are twirling: they are fireflies! Obviously, they are not everywhere so here are some places to prioritize:

  • Usually fireflies are in the forests at temperate temperatures (there are none in the mountains or in the deserts for example) or near the ponds,
  • Near the ponds of Mount Satori,
  • Near Lake Morcé, next to the River Relay,
  • Cocorico Village, on the edge of the water,
  • Last resort : buy directly from Terry the traveling merchant at Relais

Important : Crouch down to approach the fireflies so as not to scare them away. You can equip your Stealth Outfit to further facilitate capture.

And as with every time you are looking for a resource, we advise you to go and improve your Pru’ha tablet thanks to Faras’ quests. You will then unlock a very useful option that allows you to easily find an ingredient (or other) that you have taken a photo of.
