The shell is a fairly rare resource in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom if you don’t know where to look! However, you will need it to complete your list of recipes and obtain a very useful Stealth effect.
Say goodbye to Breath of the Wild’s seashells!
Unlike Breath of the Wild where it was possible to collect some shells on the edge of the beaches, this resource no longer exists in TotK. The only one still available is the Silencio Snail which you can use as an ingredient in certain recipes requiring seafood. The recipe “Shellfish Soup” also requires this ingredient.
Where to find silencio snails?
You won’t find anything on the beach or in the Village of Écaraille since the silencio snail only likes to live in fresh water! So you have to go to the side of the Zora Domain to get some of them and more precisely in the hidden cave under the domain. Do the quest “The Treasure of the Giant Fish” to find some easily. Here are other locations:
- Lake Rutile to the left of Mount Satori,
- Cocorico Village, in the small ponds,
- Drania Bog in Hyrule Hills.
