Now that you have your stone armor to withstand the intense heat of the Ordinn volcano, you might want to think about completing your perfect Goron outfit with a weapon that is worth the detour on Zelda Tears of the Kingdom.
Unlock the quest for Mountainbreaker, the soul of the Gorons
Before you can access this ultimate weapon, you will first need to complete the Yunobo main quest, from Goron Village, and therefore have conquered the Fire Temple. Once this is done, return to the Goron Village and talk to Fuhgothe Blacksmith Apprentice. He is north of the village, not far from the Malaq Guti shrine.
To prove his worth to his master, he will then want to make the Mountain Breaker but unfortunately will not have the required materials:
- 1 stone breaker
- 5 flints
- 3 rough diamonds
Where to find a stone crusher?
This is probably the hardest resource of the three to find but there are several copies available in chests around Goron Village (the map below with the sword markers shows you exactly where):
- South of the village, next to the Goron hot springs,
- To the left of the Ordinn Ravine Tower, in a Bokoblin camp,
- At the foot of the Ordinn mountain
Where to find rough diamonds and flints?
You should logically already have some flints on you if you have already broken ores with a stony mallet. If this is not the case, you can easily find some at the Ordinn Mountain, in the caves, in the wells or even in the royal secret passage under the survival shelter of the Fort de Guet. Even the relays provide some, with bundles of wood, in case you need to make a fire.
As for the rough diamond, it’s a bit trickier. You’ll find some automatically in the secret shrines called “Rauru’s blessing” or by breaking golden rock clusters (very rare). It’s possible to buy some in the Goron Village (1000 rubies each) and, if you want, use the duplication glitch to get enough.
For your information, this greatsword belonged to the prodigy Daruk in Breath of the Wild. If you break the weapon or lose it, it is possible to obtain another one or have it repaired by the blacksmith in Goron Village, for exactly the same resources as the first time.
