Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 FE and Tab S9 FE+ Specs Leak: LCD Displays and S Pen Exclusive

Samsung is gearing up to unveil a range of Fan Edition devices, including the much-anticipated Galaxy S23 FE smartphone, Galaxy Buds FE audio wearables, and two tablets – the Galaxy Tab S9 FE and Tab S9 FE+. However, recent leaks suggest some surprising details that may not sit well with tech enthusiasts.

Display Specs

According to reliable sources like WinFuture, both the Galaxy Tab S9 FE and Tab S9 FE+ will feature LCD displays, a departure from the OLED screens we’ve come to expect from Samsung. The standard Tab S9 FE is expected to sport a 10.9-inch display with a 2304 x 1440-pixel resolution, offering a 16:10 aspect ratio. Meanwhile, the Tab S9 FE+ will feature a larger 12.4-inch screen with a 2560 x 1600-pixel resolution, maintaining the same aspect ratio as its smaller counterpart.

Performance Downgrade

In terms of performance, it’s worth noting that these tablets will not feature Snapdragon processors. Instead, they are likely to come equipped with the Exynos 1380 chip, which represents a significant departure from the flagship SoCs found in the premium Tab S9 series.

Memory Options

Both tablets will offer users a choice of two memory configurations. The standard model will be available with either 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage or 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. The Tab S9 FE+ will come in two variants, offering 8GB of RAM with either 128GB or 256GB of storage. Additionally, all versions will support expandable storage of up to 1TB through a micro SD slot.

Additional Features

These tablets are expected to be IP68-certified for dust and water resistance and will feature 12MP front-facing cameras. The standard Tab S9 FE will have a single 8MP rear camera, while the Tab S9 FE+ will sport a dual-camera setup. However, the practicality of taking photos with such large devices remains a topic of debate.

Expected Pricing

While we anticipate these tablets to offer compelling features, they may come at a premium compared to the Tab S7 FE series. The Tab S9 FE is likely to start at €529, while the Tab S9 FE+ could begin at €699 for the Wi-Fi-only models. For those seeking 5G connectivity, expect to pay an additional €100.

Conclusion

All remaining questions will be answered next month when the official launch is expected to take place. Samsung has yet to announce the exact launch date, but enthusiasts are eagerly awaiting more details.
