Apple has just lifted the veil on new products recently. In the lot, there are new iPad Airs for a 6th generation succeeding the previous one, and a first large model. Here are the main points to remember about these machines.
iPad Air 2024: what features?
- Processor : Apple silicon M2 (50% more efficient than the M1 of the fifth generation iPad Air)
- Suggested storage: 256 GB, 512 GB or 1 TB
- Design: no major changes compared to the fifth generation iPad Air
- Available finishes: four aluminum colors (blue, purple, gold and black)
- Screen sizes: for the first time, the iPad Air comes in two screen sizes, eleven inches and thirteen inches
- Other particularity: the FaceTime camera is located on a short edge of the case and no longer on one of the longest

Other advantages
The new iPad Air unveiled by Apple are compatible with 5G technology, which makes it possible to achieve speeds beyond one gigabyte per second (in theory). Apple also chose to keep the Touch ID fingerprint sensor on the side, and the new M2 chip achieves performance up to three times faster than an iPad Air with A12 Bionic chip.
Finally, note that the new iPad Air M2 has a twelve-megapixel photo sensor, installed on the back of the device. The lens is obviously accompanied by another front lens, dedicated to selfies.
