Intel Core Panther Lake would be with up to 16 cores intended for laptops with up to 16 cores

Information about Panther Lakean upcoming architecture of Core Ultra CPU which would be released next year. We didn’t have much information about Panther Lake until recently, when several details about this series began to be released.

Intel Core Panther Lake would have up to 16 cores and 12 Xe

According to hardware leaker Prakhar Verma, Panther Lake is not a desktop CPU architecture, but will be intended for laptops, where there would be two major variants, the Panther Lake-H and Uthe latter as the low consumption variants.

The leaker mentions that Panther Lake will offer a maximum of 16 cores with a Celestial architecture iGPU (Xe3-LPG) with about 12 Xe cores. In this way, the most powerful CPU in the series will have a configuration of 4 P-Core cores, 8 E-Core cores and another 4 LPE cores. The P cores will be the Cougar Cove, while the Skymont will be the E-Core cores.

The graphics part of the processor will be one of the big updates here, with the new architecture Celestial (Xe3), which is the third generation of Arc GPUs. There is talk of configurations of 4 and 12 Xe cores. There is talk of a 40% improvement in the graphical performance of Celestial compared to Xe2 Battlemage. Let us remember that Lunar Lake will have 8 Xe cores, while with this series there is talk of 12 Xe cores at most.

Panther Lake

Improved efficiency will also be important with Panther Lake, promising that it is a 35% more efficient than Lunar Lake.
