Launches, like this TCL 50 series, are a good reminder of the great importance of the entry range, a segment of the market that does not usually receive as much media attention as the high-end, despite the fact that due to its price and features it attracts more users every day. Something understandable, since the needs of many make it unnecessary to have a high-performance device, instead they look for an economical but compliant option, which is precisely what we find in terminals like the ones we see now.
The TCL 50 family does not take us by surprise, in fact it was already previewed by TCL a few months ago, at the Mobile World Congress 2024, and what they showed us At that time it was already very interesting to us.since although we are talking about the entry range, something that is evident when looking at their prices, we also find some aspects that, without a doubt, correspond more to the mid-range, and that make these terminals even more interesting.
As we already told you then, The TCL 50 series is made up of three models. We see, below, what each of them offers us.
TCL 50 5G
The top of the range of this new generation of TCL is presented to the user with a screen of 6.6 inches with HD+ resolution (1,612 x 720 dots, with a 20:9 aspect ratio and a density of 269 dots per inch), whose refresh rate can reach 90 hertz. It has a brightness of 430 nits, covering 72% of the NTSC color space.
Inside we find an SoC MediaTek Dimensity 6100+ Accompanied by 4 gigabytes of RAM (which can be expanded with four other virtual ones) and 128 gigabytes of storage. Offers connectivity 5G, Wi-Fi (up to AC), Bluetooth 5.3, NFC, geopositioning and has an audio minijack connector and a USB-C port. It integrates a battery of 5,010 milliamps with fast charging up to 18 watts.
Its main camera integrates two elements, a wide-angle main sensor, but which also works as a macro lens, 50 megapixels with number F/1.8, which is accompanied by a second five-megapixel wide angle. On the front we find, in a perforation in the upper central part of the screen, an eight-megapixel wide-angle camera with a number F/2.0.

TCL 50 SE
Immediately below (at least in price) the previous model, we find this TCL 50 SE, which it nevertheless surpasses in some aspects. It has a screen 6.78 inches with FullHD+ resolution (2,460 x 1,080 dots, with a 20.5:9 aspect ratio and a density of 396 dpi). Its refresh rate is 90 hertz, its brightness scales to 550 nits and it is capable of representing up to 96% of the space NTSC color.
It is built around a MediaTek Helio G88 SoC Accompanied by 6 gigabytes of RAM (plus another six of virtual RAM) and 256 gigabytes of storage. It has cellular connectivity up to 4G along with Wi-Fi 1a/b/g/n/ac and Bluetooth 5.1, NFC and geopositioning. It integrates an audio minijack port and a USB-C port, and this entire set is powered by a 12V battery. 5,010 milliamps with fast charging of up to 33 watts.
Its main camera is made up of two elements, a wide angle that assumes the role of main camera, with a resolution of 50 megapixels and number F/1.8, accompanied by a second two-megapixel depth sensor (bokeh). As for its front camera, it is located in a hole in the screen, it has a resolution of 8 megapixels with f/2.0.

TCL 505
We finish with the youngest of this TCL 50 family, a really affordable phone, with very decent specifications for its price. Your visible face is a screen of 6.75 inches with HD+ resolution (1,600 x 720 pixels, with a density of 260 dots per inch), with a refresh rate of 90 hertz, a brightness (tip) of 400 nits and capable of reproducing 69.3% of the NTSC color space.
Inside, we find an SoC MediaTek G36 With four gigabytes of RAM (plus another four virtual memory) and 128 gigabytes of storage. In the connectivity section we talk about a smartphone 4G, with Wi-Fi 802.11a/b/g/n/ac and Bluetooth 5.3. On its body we find an audio minijack connector and a USB-C port. It integrates a battery of 5,010 milliamps. For its main camera, TCL mounts a 50-megapixel wide-angle+macro sensor F/1.8 and a two-megapixel depth sensor. And on the front we find a 5 megapixel wide angle with number F/2.2.
